VITEEE rankings are determined based on the performance of candidates in the computer-based test. According to official university disclosures, the counselling process is strictly merit-based and organized in phases. Students with higher ranks are invited to the initial phases, providing them with a broader selection of preferred branches like Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and specialized AI/ML tracks. NIRF statutory data consistently highlights VIT's high placement conversion rates, which makes the choice of campus and branch critical during the seat allocation process. Candidates should analyze the previous year's cutoff trends to understand their chances of securing a seat in their preferred category. The counselling process is entirely online, requiring students to lock their choices within the specified time window to avoid disqualification from the seat allotment list.
