Quick Summary
Official Portal: exams.nta.nic.in | Status: Stage 1 Results Published
The NIFT Entrance Result 2026 is accessible via the official NTA portal at exams.nta.nic.in. Candidates must log in using their application number and date of birth to download their scorecards. Shortlisted students for Stage 2 (Situation Test/GD/PI) should monitor the portal for specific campus-wise interview schedules and document verification requirements.
Navigating the NIFT result portal requires precision to ensure you retrieve the correct scorecard. As the National Testing Agency (NTA) manages the examination process, all results are hosted centrally. To view your performance, visit the official NTA website and navigate to the NIFT 2026 tab. You will require your unique application number and password or date of birth to authenticate your entry. Once logged in, the scorecard will display your raw scores and percentile, which are critical for determining your eligibility for the subsequent rounds of the admission process.
It is imperative to download multiple copies of your scorecard immediately upon release. These documents are essential for the Stage 2 selection process, which includes the Situation Test for B.Des candidates and Group Discussion/Personal Interview (GD/PI) rounds for PG applicants. Ensure your personal details, such as name and category, match your application form exactly to avoid discrepancies during final counseling.

The NIFT entrance process is a multi-tiered evaluation. Following the announcement of the Stage 1 results, the NIFT administration releases a merit list based on performance. According to institutional records and NIRF-aligned benchmarks, the cutoff ranks vary significantly by campus—with NIFT Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru typically requiring the highest percentiles. Candidates must understand that the Stage 1 score is only a qualifying metric; the final seat allocation is determined by the cumulative performance in the Situation Test or GD/PI rounds.
Students should cross-reference their ranks with the previous year's closing ranks provided in the official NIFT prospectus. As per NTA guidelines, the merit list is finalized only after all stages are completed. We recommend students verify their eligibility against the official seat matrix before the counseling phase begins to ensure their preferred specialization and campus alignment.
