Choosing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) college in Chandigarh requires looking beyond marketing brochures. As of 2026, the region has emerged as a hub for medical sciences, with private universities significantly outpacing traditional colleges in infrastructure and clinical exposure. When evaluating these institutions, students must prioritize the availability of an on-campus physiotherapy clinic or a dedicated tie-up with a multispecialty hospital. The curriculum must be aligned with the latest IAP (Indian Association of Physiotherapists) guidelines to ensure professional credibility.
A high-quality BPT program should offer a balance of theoretical knowledge and 6 months of mandatory clinical internship. Students should assess the faculty-to-student ratio and the diversity of clinical cases available in the hospital partners. Unlike engineering, where placement is purely corporate, BPT success is measured by the quality of clinical rotations and the ability of the institution to facilitate placements in top-tier healthcare organizations.
